My DEAR JANE Quilt

My Women of the Bible Quilt

My Civil War Diary Quilt

My Yellow Madness. A project from American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine. It is machine pieced. I used 30s repros once more.
Garden Lattice. A project from American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine. It is completely hand sewn, using English paper piecing technique. I used my favorite fabrics - 30s repros.
My first Christmas project for 2003. I started it in January. It is actually one block from a quilt by Mary Graham. I cut each one of the little squares separately, no strip piecing. I know I am mad, but it was fun.
This is a wall hanging made of 30s reproduction fabrics. I will quilt rising suns into the light triangles using colored threads. The idea for it came from a greeting card with a design by Rebecca Barker.
This is a wall hanging using once more a pattern by Mary Graham. I changed it slightly, giving the piggies three dimensional floppy ears. The poor things are still missing their tails.
This is a wall hanging in the process of being quilted (feathered hearts in the light squares). It is my second double irish chain quilt. I used 30s reproduction fabrics.
This top is handpieced, the border was sewn on with the machine. The inspiration again came from the fabrics, Hoffmann prints with celestial motifs. I wanted to do something with stars and I often get my inspirations from fabrics.
This is going to be a birthday gift for a friend of mine. The pattern is once again from "The Cat's Meow". The cats are hand appliqued, the rest is machine pieced, the corners of the border are mitered (boy, am I proud of that).
The inspiration for that little thing came when I swapped Austrian fabrics for Australian fabrics. It is originally iron-on applique, but the pieces came loose, so I machine appliqued it as well.
The pattern for this quilt top is taken from the book "Quilts for Kids" by Carolann Palmer. I had the pleasure of meeting her personally once here in Vienna. Her daughter lived here with her family and I knew her from church. It is machine pieced.
I made this top during a quilt retreat weekend. It is still missing some embroidery for the face of the beaver. The pattern is from the book "Go Wild with Quilts". It is machine pieced.
